Acharei – Leaving the Cocoon

Our parshah this week opens after the death of Aaron’s two sons in the inner sanctum of the Tabernacle, and launches into a detailed discussion of the Yom Kippur service, the highlight of which took place in the Holy of Holies.

Believe it or not, there was actually great joy and celebration that went on after the service concluded. Throngs of worshippers would accompany the High Priest back to his home for a holiday feast.

Why the big celebration? Wasn't it really time for the people to go home and break their fast?

Tune into this week’s edition of the ParshaCast and discover a meaningful message, one that can help us tap into what's holy in our own lives.
