Since 1985 the Chabad House has been a beacon at the crossroads, serving the religious, educational, social and pastoral needs of the thousands of Jewish students at Binghamton University. The Chabad House has provided thousands of our young people with a place they can call home and a vibrant, inclusive community in which they are unequivocally accepted and embraced.

Chabad House has built one of the most dynamic Jewish communities on any university today and has been recognized as one of the most successful in-reach and out reach campus programs. In fact, it has become a victim of its own success. The present facility can no longer accommodate the growing number of students who seek to avail themselves of the ever growing roster of activities and services. In an age when assimilation and apathy are rampant we dare not stand by as students are turned away as they "check out the scene" at Chabad on Friday night  and find it so crowded they can't get in!

In response, Chabad has broken ground for a new student center to be constructed on the lot adjacent to the Chabad House and connected to the current facility. This modern, spacious building will allow for thousands more of our young men and women to be inspired and infused with a love for and pride in their Jewish identity.

Please think carefully and deeply about this project and the long term effects of Chabad's work. Please understand that Chabad of Binghamton is not funded by any central organization. Every penny of this capital campaign as well as the operating budget must be raised by Rabbi Aaron Slonim independently. Please consider making a substantial gift towards this building through this secure website or give Rabbi Slonim a call at (607) 797-0015.

Remember, this building will see thousands of different Jewish students come through its doors each year as they begin their journey through adult life. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure a stronger Jewish tomorrow.
