Shabbat at Chabad

Join us for Shabbat with special guest, Rabbi Michael Levy, in conjunction with the International Shabbos Project! Rabbi Levy served as the Director of Travel Training at MTA New York City Transit, developing and implementing a program to train people with disabilities to use the bus and subways . As President of Yad Hachazakah—The Jewish Disability Empowerment Center, Levy strives to make the Jewish experience and Jewish texts accessible to Jews with disabilities.

Shabbat Highlights

My favorite Jewish food is shawarma.

My favorite food is a classic salami sandwich.

If you were a breakfast cereal, which one would you be and why?
Kix - kid tested and parent approved.

What is your favorite Jewish childhood memory?
Playing Moses in my kindergarten Passover play

What is your favorite Chabad experience?
Kabbalat Shabbat services.

What's your favorite lockdown experience?
Not getting COVID.

Some imagine that in a perfect world there will be no distinctions of poor and wealthy, haves and have-nots. All will be the same.

Heaven forbid we should live in such a world.

A healthy world is one in which I do not have what you have and you do not have what I have—and so we both need one another.

In a truly healthy universe, all human beings will realize that we all need one another. May that be very soon.
