I'm from Riverdale, NY, and I attended SAR High School.

Do you have any siblings?
Yes, I have three siblings: two older sisters and a younger brother.

What is your favorite book? Why?
My favorite book is "Crime and Punishment." It delves deeply into complex issues of morality and redemption, which I find fascinating.

What is your favorite Jewish food?
Latkes are my favorite.

What's your favorite Jewish holiday and why?
Shavuos is my favorite because it's fun and offers a different experience compared to other holidays.

If you were a breakfast cereal, which one would you be and why?
According to a BuzzFeed quiz, I would be Raisin Bran!

What's your dream job?
I would love to be the 8th Rebbe of Lubavitch. It's a significant and influential position that would allow me to contribute greatly to Klal Yisroel.

What's a quote or saying that you like?
"How did you go bankrupt? Two ways. Gradually, then suddenly." Ernest Hemingway

What is your favorite Jewish childhood memory?
Eating the eclectic fruits on Rosh Hashanah is something I've always enjoyed.

How do you envision yourself in twenty years?
I see myself with a stable job, a house, a wife, kids, and hopefully taking time off for occasional vacations.

What's your favorite lockdown experience?
Getting to sleep in was definitely a highlight for me during the lockdown.

Torah Thought

There were three types of donations the Jews gave in order to contribute to the Mishkan:

1. The donation of coins that was used for the silver sockets that supported the wooden walls.

2. Money and materials that were donated for the building of the actual Mishkan.

3. Donations for the altar.

The donation for the sockets was a fixed amount— everyone had to give half of a silver shekel coin. But for the rest of the building, everyone brought as much as they could. The sockets used for the beams are the base of the entire Mishkan. There are things in which everyone is equal. So the amount donated for the base of the Mishkan was equal for all.

The rest of the building symbolize the many ways a person could be good: different styles, abilities, situations, and conditions. For those parts, not everyone's donations were the same. Every person donated the most they could give. And that's how each and every person should serve Hashem- without comparing them self to others. We each must do according to our own abilities, doing the very best we can with what we have.

Plotsker’s Perspective

Best De-stress Spots on Campus:

As students, we spend an estimated 56%* of our time experiencing moderate to severe stress. It can make the sky seem a little darker, Kosher Korner a little less kosher, and the Disco (AKA student success center) a little less energetic. Have no fear, because we have compiled the clinically proven* best places to destress on campus:

Nature Preserve - Did you know Binghamton has a nature preserve? The nature preserve features 200 acres of pristine trails and breathtaking wildlife that’ll zap the stress right from your body

Bowling Alley - If you like to bowl, then the bowling alley is the place for you. The lanes might not be top notch, but the destressing here definitely is

Broome Closet - Hidden in the deep recesses of C4, the Broome closet is a musical oasis open to all Newing students. You’ll be clapping your hands while the stress melts away before you know it (until midnight)

Greenhouse - With incredible flora and fauna such as trees and plants, the greenhouse metaphorically transports you from the frozen tundra of Binghamton, to the tropics of the Caribbean between 9 - 3:30

We hope that your stress dissipates, your grades rise, and you don’t fail!
