Jewish Bearcat of the Week
Introducing Abigail Diamond

What is your major, and why did you decide to pursue this degree?
My Major is Business Administration with a concentration in marketing, which I originally chose because it allows me to express my creativity in a professional setting. I also look cool in a suit.

Why did you choose Binghamton University?
There is no Jewish community like the one at Binghamton University, and my parents met here and loved it!

Where are you from?  Where did you go to high school?
I am from West Orange, NJ, and went to Kushner for High School.

What do you love about Jewish life on campus?
I love how welcoming the community has been, how willing people are to help out when needed, and how easy it is to get involved in the community.

Do you have any siblings?
Yes! I have one identical twin sister and one younger sister.

What is your favorite book? Why?
The dictionary because it has so many awesome words in it. It's a classic.

What is your favorite Jewish food?
My favorite has to be shawarma or schnitzel. Honestly, just anything I can put tahini on.

What's your favorite Jewish holiday and why?
I love Sukkot because it is focused on coming together to eat good food outdoors. And shaking around leaves and fruit. What's not to love?

If you were a breakfast cereal, which one would you be and why?
Captain Crunch because he is an inspiration and wears a cool hat.

What is your favorite Chabad experience?
The Shabbat 2400 PR stunt last year, where I ran around the spine in a giant red blowup costume for everyone to see.

SOUL COFFEE
Rabbi Tzvi Freeman

“Be simple with G‑d.” (Deuteronomy 18:13)

Walk through life alongside Him in simple innocence.

Stay confident in His plans for you. Let go of trying to foresee the future and just accept whatever happens with all your heart.

Then you can rest assured that you will belong to Him and ultimately receive all the goodness He has promised you.
