Why did you choose Binghamton University?
I chose Binghamton because of the amazing Jewish community.

Where are you from?  Where did you go to high school?
I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and went to high school at Hillel Academy of Pittsburgh.

What do you love about Jewish life on campus?
I love that whenever I walk into the dining hall I know I'll see at least one other Jew who I can sit with and talk to.

Do you have any siblings?
I have three younger sisters who are the absolute best!

What is your favorite book? Why?
One of my favorite books is A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole and I love the story because it teaches readers about the importance of family and community and loving something with your entire heart and soul.

What is your favorite Jewish food?
Chicken soup. I could eat it every day.

What's a quote or saying that you like?
I have two favorites:
1. "To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all" -Oscar Wilde
2. "A day without laughter is a day wasted" - Charlie Chaplin

What is your favorite Jewish childhood memory?
Dressing up with my family on Purim every year and making our mishloach manot match our costume's theme.

What is your favorite Chabad experience?
The mega challah bake challah tasting table.

What's your favorite lockdown experience?
Having nightly movie marathons with my dad and sisters.

Rabbi Tzvi Freeman

How do you heal a brother?

By entering inside him and experiencing what it is like to be him. And then you can heal together.

How do you heal any problem in this world?

By investing yourself within that chunk of the world, so that the problem becomes your problem. And then you can heal your world.

Because, in truth, you can only heal yourself, and that to which your destiny is tied.
