At the first Challah Baking for the Spring semester, 40 students enjoyed mixing, shaping and baking their own bread. "This event is always " a rising success!" said participants.

Binghamton students gathered for the weekly Supper and Study program joined world Jewry in marking the completion of the 32nd cycle of Study of Maimonides's Mishne Torah and beginning the 33rd cycle of study. Mazel Tov!

An intoxicating smell emanated from the Chabad kitchen as a spirited crowd enjoyed baking scrumptious cookies some of which will be distributed to residents in local nursing homes on Purim day. The rest was happily consumed by the happy bakers.

Fun, Revelry and Merry Making were everywhere at the 22nd Annual Purim Carnival Extravaganza at BU, spearheaded by Chabad, Alpha Sig and AEPHI (co-sponsored by many other Greek groups and clubs). Rides, attractions, a battle of the bands, a costume contest, food for purchase and more all made for a spectacular celebration AND the proceeds went to charity!

BU students Megillah needs were covered on Purim Eve and again on Purim Day with megillah readings every hour on the hour and additional readings held in multiple locations on campus and off.

And for the Jews who attended the Purim Feast there was light and joy, great Chinese food, drinks, desserts, music and spirited dancing. It was a good time!

Over 300 BU women attended Fashion for a Cure, an annual Chabad event that raised $2000 for Sharsheret a national organization that offers support and services to Jewish women battling breast cancer.
The program featured luscious desserts, fabulous raffle prizes, a dazzling fashion show and riveting remarks by senior Jessie Rubin and her mother and grandmother, both of whom are breast cancer survivors. Participants also had the option of honoring loved ones through making donations toward the program that were marked on a memory wall.
A pre-program cocktail party was held for seniors.

BU students were treated to unusual sights, smells and tastes on the Monday before Shabbat 1500. At strategic points around campus, "Shabbat Tables" were set up featuring all the Shabbat rituals and bowls of matzo ball soup were distributed to passers by to spread excitement about the upcoming program and remind everyone to register ASAP.

Almost 1700 students gathered at the annual "Shabbat 1500" program at which they enjoyed a traditional Shabbat dinner highlighted by singing , dancing, some words about the meaning of Shabbat ,and the Shabbat rituals including candle-lighting, kiddush and Hamotzi . "It was an amazing sight-- an awesome display of Jewish pride and unity" said student organizers.
