Over fifty student leaders are participating in an ambitious project to unite Jewish students at Binghamton through hosting events which will highlight a meaningful conversation about Jewish identity in 2016. The events will include snacks and activities and are being hosted in honor of the year of Hakhel, the year of Jewish unity.

This GNO was an epic winner: a huge crowd of girls enjoyed painting their own canvases with an instructor, sipping mocktails, enjoying snacks and revelling in famale company.

Chabad was alive with fun and a spirit of friendly competition as teams vied to win the awesome Torah Scavenger Hunt. A pizza and pasta dinner was enjoyed by all.

Chabad was rocking for the weekend of Feb 19-20 with guest Dr. Laz, the Rappin' Rollin' Reggae Rabbi who shared a unique message from his unconventional life. On Saturday night a musical havdallah was followed by delicious pizza and paninis and the screening of "Crown Heights", the showtime movie that stars Howie Mandel as Dr. Laz.

The Chabad E-board enjoyed a day of bonding, excitement and meaningful exchanges when they traveled to NY one Sunday in the early spring. The trip included an inspiring trip to the Rebbe's Ohel in Queens followed by delicious lunch at a place in the Five Towns and an awesome Escape Room challenge in NJ on the way home.

The Rohr Chabad Center in partnership with SDT held its 8th annual Fashion for a Cure event to benefit the NJ based Sharsheret organization that provides services to Jewish women experiencing breast and ovarian cancer.
The program, which raised over $6,000 included entertainment, an array of desserts, fabulous raffle prizes, entertainment and moving words by guest speaker Molly Sigel, a 2015 Binghamton graduate who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer weeks after her graduation. An energy filled, music themed fashion show, dubbed : Beats to Beat Cancer brought the evening to crescendo.

Binghamton's Unite4Purpose Hakhel campaign concluded with an elegant banquet enjoyed by those who hosted or attended a Hakhel event. Important statistics about Jewish life at BU and as generally experienced, gleaned from surveys completed at the Hakhel events were presented. Student speakers shared inspirational insights and others read thought provoking and heart stirring comments made by Hakhel event attendees.

Fun, Revelry and Merry Making were everywhere at the 25th Annual Purim Carnival Extravaganza at BU, spearheaded by Chabad, Pi Lam and AEPHI (co-sponsored by many other Greek groups and clubs). Rides, attractions, a battle of the bands, a costume contest, a hot dog and pie eating contest, food for purchase and more all made for a spectacular celebration AND the proceeds went to help two important charities.
