BU guys got a taste of Yeshiva on Sunday, April 26 when eight Rabbinical
students came up from NY City to run Yeshiva for a Day which included
interactive Chevrutah study, lectures and delicious food for the body as
well.
Chabad was alive with the sound of Torah.

L’chayim to the Graduates!
On Wed. May 13 Chabad held an elegant wine and cheese reception for the graduating class of 2009. After socializing and enjoying the spread, the graduates were addressed by Mr. Brian Rose, VP for Student Affairs at BU, Sari Katz, graduate Rep and Dr. Amie Friedman Baron ’96, alumni rep. The graduates then reveled in a slide presentation of pictures taken of them at Chabad events spanning their college career. The evening concluded with presentations to all the graduates and special awards presented to Daniel Zenilman, who received the Emor M'at V'aseh Harbeh Award, and Eli Zazon, who received the Rebbetzin Miriam Gurary Chesed Award.

Despite it being finals week, a great crowd turned out for the Lag B’Omer Fest to celebrate the holiday, enjoy delicious BBQ and bask in the glow of the Bon Fire. Students enjoyed roasting marshmallows, singing soulful melodies, listening to the music of Facing East and most importantly, each other’s company.
Most were reluctant to leave, sensing the preciousness of this last opportunity to enjoy our BU Jewish community until next year. It was the perfect finale to a wonderful Semester. See you in the Fall!

Parting is indeed a sweet sorrow when it’s Chabad to which you have to say good bye. For the younger students it was the last Shabbat of this semester; it will be a few more months before they come back to rush and headiness of Shabbat at Chabad. For the graduating seniors, the evening was of great moment marking their final Shabbat as students at BU. The evening began with a cocktail hour & the senior picture followed by candle lighting & services. The dinner was highlighted by moving remarks from some of the seniors who shared their sentiments at this cross road and went late into the night with spirited singing and dancing. Few seemed ready to leave the magic behind…

Chabad's Alumni Reunion was a resounding success with over two decades of Chabad alumni represented at the elegant and fun event held in the historic Puck Building in Manhattan. Shouts of excitement and joy filled the air as people reconnected, shared good news and spied friends they had not seen in some time. Special thanks to all of the evening's sponsors.
